From The Loudon County Sheriff's Office

They say that teamwork makes the dream work.

Today, 29 year old Cody Michael Chastain, a male suspected of stealing numerous vehicles and leading law enforcement agencies on numerous high-speed pursuits, is in custody. And given all the hard “work” he’s been doing while stealing other people’s property and jogging through the woods running from law enforcement, we are sure he is resting his tired head comfortably on one of our cozy bunks at the Loudon County Detention Facility right about now.

After several weeks of following leads on Chastain’s whereabouts and attempting to apprehended him, excellent teamwork by the Lenoir City Police Department and the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office led to his capture shortly after 1pm today.

Chastain was wanted on 11 felony warrants, spanning multiple counties, including felony theft and felony evading.

Sleep easier Loudon County, one thief is off the streets for now. And Cody, we know 2020 has been a rough one so we hope you enjoy ringing in the New Year behind bars. We are certainly glad to have you!

Below are just some of the warrants that Chastain was arrested on:

Felony Theft of Property
Felony Evading Arrest
Felony Manufacturing, Sale, Delivery of Methamphetamines
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Felony Reckless Endangerment x 3
