LENIOR CITY, Tenn. (WATE) - UPDATE: The victims in the boating accident at Ft. Loudoun Dam have been identified.

A.j. Re', 23 drowned when the boat he was on capsized in Ft. Loudoun Dam. Clint McCorkle, and Donald McCorkle were also on the boat, and were taken to the hospital.

One person is dead and another in the hospital Saturday morning after their boat capsized in Ft Loudoun Dam, according to TWRA.

The incident happened just after 10 a.m., when a 22-foot fishing boat carrying three men for North Carolina after it was pulled into water that was being discharged from the dam.

Witnesses say that the boat appeared to be heading towards an area toward the middle of the dam, where the only floodgate out of 11 was not spilling water. As the boat got too close, it was pulled into the falling water and forced under sending all three occupants overboard.

Several nearby fisherman saw the incident and were able to retrieve all three men into their boats. At this time, it is believed that all three fisherman were wearing personal floatation devices but because of the force of the water, some of the PFDs were torn off in the incident.

"Don't fish in treacherous waters. Don't fish in the area, especially near the dam," said Cameron.
