Former Loudon County school bus driver indicted for DUI, endangerment
LOUDON - Former Loudon County school bus driver Vickie Kwasny has been indicted for driving a bus containing several students while she was intoxicated.
Kwasny, 48, now a resident of the Atlanta area, is free on bond and is to be arraigned April 20 in Loudon County Criminal Court.
Along with the DUI charge, Kwasny was also indicted this week by the Loudon County grand jury for reckless endangerment.
Kwasny was allegedly under the influence of prescription medication while continuing to pick up students during an incident Sept. 30 in Loudon, according to a news release.
She asked a high school student to stay on the bus during her second route to help operate the bus door and give her directions, the news release states.
