Fallen Loudon Co. deputy honored

LOUDON CO. (WVLT) -- Loudon High School awarded its annual Jason Scott Award Sunday night, given to an outstanding performer on the Loudon High School football team.

Named after former Loudon Redskin Jason Scott, the Sheriff's Deputy was killed in the line of duty on March 12, 2004, just days before his daughter, Jayden Scott, was born.

Sunday, Jayden presented the award named after her father to Loudon junior Tyler Tubbs.

Tyler Tubbs is a Junior at Loudon High School and plays on both sides of the ball; linebacker and running back. When asked about receiving this honor, Tyler told our Deputies that law enforcement is “a serious road I’ve been thinking about taking after high school, hopefully this Award will get me some help along the way!”
