Calvin C. Shaver

Age 80 of Lenoir City, passed away early Sunday morning, July 22, 2007. Calvin was a member of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City. He was a deacon and was very active in the Senior Adult Group and Jim Springers Sunday School Class.  Calvin was the retired owner of McCown & Son Produce Company in Knoxville. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean McCown Shaver; parents, J. H. and Mary Shaver; twin brother, Alvin Shaver; sisters, Pauline Barger, Alma Dyer and Helen Littleton. Calvin is survived by his daughter, Janie Shaver; son, Van Shaver and wife Sarah all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Jeff Shaver and wife Kelli, Kevin Bluford, Austin Shaver and wife Brittany, and Evan Shaver all of Lenoir City; his most special friend, Marilyn Tatum of Lenoir City. Calvin leaves many special in-laws, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Monday with funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services with full military honors conferred by the Loudon County Veteran Honor Guard.
