Cycle vs Truck

In this match up, the truck wins every time. Thursday, this motorcycle traveling toward Knoxville on Hwy. 11 could not stopped before crashing hard into the back of the flat bed truck that was stopped for a left hand turn.

As the truck waited to turn, a small car was sitting behind the truck. The motorcycle, approaching the stopped traffic, locked the brakes causing the cycle to begin to fish tail. The driver of the small car apparently seeing the out of control cycle, pulled around the truck in the grass to avoid being struck by the cycle and left the scene.

It appeared the driver of the motorcycle may have been thrown from his bike just before it struck the back of the truck. The driver of the cycle possibly suffered several broken bones and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The driver of the truck was unhurt.
