Court Canceled
| In the aftermath of his defeat, Chancellor Frank
Williams has canceled the remainder of the cases he was to hear in
August. The chancellor represents the four counties that make up the 9th
judicial district of Loudon, Roane, Meigs, and Morgan Counties.
Williams who had held the office for 38 years was soundly defeated by challenger, Tom McFarland in Thursday's election. McFarland received 12,011 to Williams 8,578. McFarland will take office on September 1st. Below is the letter sent out by Chancery Court Clerk, Lisa Nines.
