Cost Per Vote

After every local election, I enjoy looking at all the different numbers involved. There's a lot to be learned about voting patterns in the county.

One of the things I always look at, is how much a candidates spent and what that translates into per vote. Local elections are not cheap epically a county wide election.

Below is a table of the candidates in contested races and how much they spent and the cost per vote. Some candidates reported that they did not intend to spend more than a thousand dollars and are exempt from reporting details.

All this information is public and available to anyone who asks.

U1k, means candidate spent less than $1,000 and was exempt from itemized reporting.
