Clean Audit #3

For the third year in a row, almost unheard of,  Loudon County government has received a clean audit. That means the state comptroller's office that performs the annual audit, found no mistakes or errors in the tens of thousands of transactions that go through the county finance department each year.

With a near 70 million dollar budget and some 25-30 departments, that's pretty incredible. Zero findings form a state audit is no simple achievement. I would like to say that all us wonderful elected officials made that happen, but that wouldn't be exactly right.

Truth of the matter is, our finance director, Tracy Blair, gets the lions share of the credit for another great audit report. Ms. Blair is the one who keeps all of us straight and in line. If it's not the right way, then it won't be done.

Ms. Blair and the whole finance department deserve a big thank you for the work they do to keep all the wheels rolling.

Thanks to all of you.
