Century-old house in Lenoir City burns in fire

 
LENOIR CITY (WATE) – No injuries are reported after an over 100-year-old house caught fire in Lenoir City Friday night.

The owner of the home in the 4400 block of Town Creek Road West said he heard something in the attic that sounded like sleet. When he opened the door, he saw flames.

He and his wife made it out safely. Their cat may have been inside, but the homeowners are not sure.

Officials on the scene said the roof collapsed. The house was built in 1890.

This is the unique , old home on Town Creek Road West just across from the back entrance to Sharp Estates.
