Cars afloat at Lenoir City auto repair shop

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) - A bizarre sight in Lenoir City Saturday afternoon when flooding swept through a auto repair shop causing more than a dozen vehicles to float.

Marty, the owner of Dr. Marty's Car Care on East Broadway Street, told WVLT News that he'd never seen flooding so bad and because he didn't expect it, he didn't move more than a dozen cars.

He said he planned to call the owners of the cars on Monday and begin the insurance process.

"There's nothing you can do you just take it all in stride," Marty said.

The repair shop is located along Town Creek which flooded Saturday.
