Campaign Promise?

Back in May in the heat of the battle, former road superintendent Sean Giles, running against incumbent road superintendent, Eddie Simpson, put up a sign promising to widen Simpson Road if elected. Giles signed was followed by a rebuttal sign from Simpson stating that Simpson Road widening was already on the books and in fact has been underway for two years.

Simpson won his re-election so I guess the question now is, how much longer will it be before Simpson Road widening takes place? If they've already been working on it for two years, could we expect work to begin any time soon?

Campaign promises are great but only if they are fulfilled.
