Loudon County is preparing to build an addition at the county office building. The building is a stand alone building approximately 96'x36'. Most of the building will be a storage area for the Loudon County Election Commission. A small portion of the building will be office space.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids for an addition to the Loudon County Government Building shall be received as follows:

OWNER: County of Loudon ATTENTION: Loudon County Purchasing Dept. LOCATION: 100 River Road, Suite 110 Loudon, TN 37774 TIME: 4:00 PM EDST; Thursday, January 19, 2023 Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and the Contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable.

Bidders must use the bid envelope cover sheet provided in the project manual and include their Full Name, Address, and Tennessee Contractor’s License Number and deposit the bid at the Loudon County Purchasing Department. Bidders must obtain Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents in order to receive Addenda to submit a Bid. Johnson Architecture will coordinate delivery of documents in hard copy and/or PDF format, at the discretion of the Bidder. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 3:00 pm, local time, on Thursday January 12, 2023 at 100 River Road, Loudon Tennessee, 37774. Bidders will meet in Conference Room. Bidders (General Contractors) must have a representative present at the mandatory pre-bid meeting for their bids to be considered. Subcontractors are encouraged to attend but not required. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the “CONTRACTOR’S LICENSING ACT OF 1976,” and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Furthermore, the Contractor should have the necessary licensing classifications as listed in Rules of Tennessee Board for Licensing General Contractors-Chapter 0680-1.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder’s Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price at the time of the execution of the contract. Performance and payment bond documents are not required to be submitted with the Bid.

Loudon County reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the County. Questions must be submitted no later than January 5, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. local time. All technical questions will be addressed by written addendum issued by Johnson Architecture and Loudon County Purchasing.
