A hearing for a Maryville man charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated burglary has been rescheduled for June 2.

Dylan Garrow was arrested Aug. 24, 2017, in Blount County with outstanding warrants for an incident that occurred about 9 p.m. Aug. 9, 2017.

A 911 call was made by a 21-year-old who said he had been severely beaten and robbed by Garrow and a 15-year-old juvenile acquaintance while at an area called “The Bluffs” on Jackson Bend Road.

“While there they attempted to rob him and during the attempt they struck him several times in the head,” Billy Hall, former Loudon County Sheriff’s Office public information officer, said in 2017. “They pushed him off the hill toward the water where they continued to beat him and rob him of $100, and they left him there in that area and he was able to call 911 and summon officers to the scene.”

Garrow was scheduled to go before Criminal Court Judge Jeffrey Wicks on Jan. 7 in Loudon County, but an order filed Dec. 30 granted the reschedule.
Garrow is represented by attorney Stanley Barnett, who could not be reached for comment by News-Herald presstime.
