As most of you already know, Austin and his family will be relocating to Nashville in the near future, probably in the next few months which will leave his seat open on commission.

 

It appears his vacant second district commission seat will be on the November ballot.

 

It will be the responsibility of each of the political parties, republican and democrat, to chose a candidate from their respective parties to be on the ballot. Independent candidate may also qualify to be on the ballot. The state election commission will set a special qualifying deadline of 60 days before the November 6th election  for candidates to qualify. All candidates who qualify by the deadline will be on the ballot.

 

To be honest with you, as the daddy and papaw, I keep hoping he doesn't ever leave.
