August Petition Update

Former 3rd District school board member, Lisa Russell, has picked up a qualifying petition to run for that seat again. Ms Russell served on the school board for the 3rd district from 2008-2012 but did not seek re-election at the end of that term. Ms Russell was instrumental in getting the new school in Greenback as well as the new middle school in Loudon.

Coincidentally, incumbent, 3rd District school board member, Phillip Moffett, has returned his petition to seek re-election.

1st district school board candidate, Justin Burnette has also filed his petition to qualify to seek election.

After the March election is over, I begin to report more on the August school board election.

Candidates have till 12:00 noon, April 7th, to file their petitions to qualify for the election.
