After 20 Years

Parcel Sold In Blue

More than 20 years ago, Loudon County and the City Of Loudon entered into a partnership to develop an industrial park just off Hwy. 72 in Loudon. The more than 100 acre park is known as Center 75 Business Park.

The two entities spent more than six million dollars to put in the infrastructure, streets, power, gas and electric services.

Up to now, no significant sale of any property in the park has happened. But now after 20 years, the first sale has happened. A 23 acre parcel has been sold to Sakuma International America inc. The sale was worth $580,000.00.

A formal announcement from the county, city and the company will be coming at a later date.

Economic Development director, Jack Qualls, should be congratulated for finally making a sale in the park after all these years. Maybe this will kick start to project and and the two governments will recoup some of their investment.
