SUSPECT WHO SHOT AT LCSO AND LCPD OFFICERS IN CUSTODY
 
LOUDON COUNTY, TENNESSEE - Devin Demascus McGuire was just taken into custody by LCSO Deputies minutes ago.

The 31 year old McGuire is accused of firing multiple rounds from a high-powered rifle at Lenoir City Officers and Loudon County Deputies and hitting their patrol vehicles multiple times.

McGuire, who has a lengthy criminal history, has been taken to the Loudon County Detention Facility and held pending bond on multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping.

Everyone at LCSO would like to extend our thanks to the Lenoir City Police Department, the Blount County SWAT and K9 teams, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Aviation Divisions, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Aviation Unit, the United States Marshall Service, the Loudon County E-911 Center and Priority EMS, for their quick response and amazing help. Murder charges. IN CUSTODY. Officials say he was hiding in a homeowner’s garage off highway 11. That homeowner thought he heard something and called 911. Units responded and found suspect and took into custody without incident.


 


David Ball Media-The bullet holes from an AR15 allegedly shot by Devin McGuire towards Lenoir City Police and Loudon County Sheriff’s Office.

A pursuit that started in Lenoir City with shots fired at police officers during the chase, ended with a female in custody and the shooter on foot running from law enforcement in the Highway 11/Midway Road area.

Blount County and Knox County officers are assisting Loudon County and Lenoir City officers on the hunt. Both Knox County and the Tennessee highway Patrol helicopters have been searching the area, 

As of 12:30am Monday, the suspect was still at large.

David Ball Media-UPDATE: Police are looking for 31 year old Devin McGuire. He is accused of shooting at LCPD and LCSO deputies in Lenoir City. He is ARMED AND DANGEROUS. If you live around highway 11 muddy creek, Hurst Cr., Davis Dr and surrounding Dixie Lee junction area LOCK your doors!!! He is believed to have a handgun. The AR15 he used to fire at officers has been recovered. No officers have been harmed.
