A Country Christmas in Greenback

GREENBACK, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The city of Greenback is hosting A Country Christmas at the Greenback Depot, which is where the city usually has a farmer's market.

"It's the best tiny town in Tennessee," said Sabrina Dowdy, who is a volunteer for the Greenback Depot's A Country Christmas.

The folks describe Greenback, Tennessee as a hidden gem and they want to share it with others.

The Greenback Depot is usually a farmer's market every Tuesday afternoon, but next Tuesday it will be full of Christmas cheer.

"Tuesday we're going to have our Country Christmas fall farmer's craft market," said Dowdy. "We will have vendors of farmers, crafters. We will have a tasting."

It's called A Country Christmas. About a dozen vendors will be selling your normal vegetables and meats. They're throwing in some cookies and crafts to give that holiday feel.

"We did a fall into the holidays tasting and the place was packed," said Dowdy. "Cars were parked everywhere we were so thrilled about how many people came to our little tiny town of Greenback."

Their goal is two-fold. They hope to bring a little money into Greenback and show off what the tiny town has to offer.

"To let people come know what Greenback is all about and our vendors are amazing, and this is the way they make money," said Dowdy. "They enjoy their craft."

A Country Christmas at the Greenback Depot will be Tuesday, December 4th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
