2 Years 7 Months

Back in May in the heat of the election battle, former road superintendent Sean Giles, running against incumbent road superintendent, Eddie Simpson, put up a sign promising to widen Simpson Road if elected. Giles sign was followed by a rebuttal sign from Simpson stating that Simpson Road widening was already on the books and in fact has been underway for two years.

Simpson won his re-election so I guess the question now is, how much longer will it be before Simpson Road widening takes place? If they've already been working on it for two years, could we expect work to begin any time soon?

So, now it's been 2 years and 7 months since the process began to widen Simpson Road. Still no improvements in sight.

If it's going to be another two or three years before the road gets widened, could somebody, city or county, at least patch the big pothole near the church entrance?  At least that'd be a start.
