2 adults killed, 2 children injured in I-75 crash

LOUDON —Two Lenoir City residents were killed and two children injured Sunday night when their SUV went off Interstate 75 and struck two trees in Loudon County, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The dead were identified as Sharon L. Galyon, 36, who was driving the GMC Envoy, and passenger Christopher T. Galyon, 34.

Injured were Blaine Christopher Galyon, 9, and Wyatt James Galyon, 7, also of Lenoir City, according to the THP.

Drugs and alcohol appear to have been a factor in the crash, which occurred about 6:30 p.m., according to a report from Trooper Rodney Redmon. Tests have been requested in the death of Sharon Galyon.

The Envoy was heading north on I-75 near mile marker 67 when the driver ran off the road to the right, according to the THP.

Sharon and Christopher Galyon wore seatbelts, according to the THP.
