2012 POLICE UNITY TOUR

LOUDON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office is joining in the effort of the 2012 Police Unity Tour, a four day, 320 mile bicycle ride from New Hanover, NJ to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC. The purpose of the tour is to raise awareness of the number of officers killed in the line of duty each year in the U.S. The Tour also raises funds to enhance and maintain the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C.

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office has a team of two that have been accepted to take part in the Tour this year. LCSO Asst. Chief Jimmy Davis and Sgt. Jerramie Bowen are training and raising funds to participate in May. EACH participant must raise the $1,750 to ride, and they are currently raising funds to assist in this cause for fallen officers. This amount does not include the funds required for travel, meals, lodging, etc. which also need to be raised.

Short Sleeved T-shirts are available for $15 each in adult sizes S – XXL, $20 for XXXL or Long Sleeved, in pink or grey. They may be purchased at the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office.
